A clear and concise course module providing the knowledge needed to apply to practice in a working environment.

Course content covered what was needed but my attempts to do so in Welsh were disappointing. Subtitles were confusing, the test even more so with poor translation so had to start again in English. Some terminology was not accepted terminology in Welsh/ didn't translate/ or changed meaning throughout subtitles i.e. interchanging two terms for same definition - made the test harder!

I have gained awareness and full understanding how this subject applies to various day-to-day operations and its importance to all organisations, even in our own daily lives, the value of and better understanding of the effects of stereotyping, labelling, prejudice and discrimination and the different characteristics that make people unique, everyone’s responsibility to treat others as they would wish to be treated fairly and with respect. TUTORS: They exhibit a warm, compassionate grasp of their subject, which is well communicated. I thoroughly enjoyed this course

Makes you look at things.

I find the enforced videos really annoying and offputting. I don't feel that they add anything to my understanding of the text, which I can read and take in much more quickly than the video takes to watch. Not that I do watch them, because I get frustrated at the waste of time and switch to doing other things while they are playing. This makes it harder to concentrate on the course as a whole. I don't think you should enforce the videos.

Fairly clear, but too many lists and not enough opportunity to reinforce learning and clarify the different kinds of discrimination in my mind.

I found the module somewhat informative, particularly in terms of the different types of discrimination. However, I felt it could have potentially included some examples on how to deal with discrimination/harrasment in the workplace, although this may perhaps be covered in a different module? I also felt some of the 'acting' clips were a bit childish.
