It’s nice to know that we all have a right to work fair
Whilst the videos are good, the quiz flip-flops on what it believes to be legitimate discrimination in hiring practices. It claims it's unacceptable to hire someone under 20 unless they are an actor - or similar -, which makes sense, whilst also saying that asking for 10 years experience is always unacceptable, which doesn't make sense, since it's a relevant concern for, say, a senior management position which requires someone to have a really deep grasp of the job. Both questions should have the dame answer, since they're effectively the same question: 'is it ever legitimate to hire someone on the condition that they have protected characteristic X'.
The course highlights the importance of equality and diversity to make sure everyone is treated equally.
It is something we need to drive through the organisation and the induction/onboarding will capture this training.
More illustrative examples of positive action would be additive.
too many classifications which were baffling, but I knew that it was wrong to do all the things explained.
