This is a very impotant subject to cover and policys and procedures are always changing so needs to be completed. However this is too long so maybe could be shorter or divided into seperate units.
I enjoyed this course very much, I enjoyed questioning my own beliefs and found the course challenging and informative.
Overall I felt this was a good course with a positive message and information. My only issue is with section 3.1 The Protected Characteristics - Gender Reassignment. With regards to the information about intersex people most was ok but the inclusion of intersex under the trans umbrella term isn't accurate. Speaking as an intersex person, I would like to reiterate that intersex and transgender are not the same but it is common for people to have this misconception. Although some intersex people are also transgender because they do not identify with their assigned sex at birth, being intersex is not in itself a gender identity (transgender refers specifically to gender identity). I'm aware that in the video it says that some intersex people identify with the sex they are assigned at birth & some don't but I feel that then placing intersex under the trans umbrella term confuses the issue especially as it seems that intersex is being presented as the same as or similar to non-binary, which it is not. I'm extremely glad that intersex people like myself have been included in the training but my concern is that endosex (non-intersex) people who are not aware of what intersex means may become confused and assume that trans and intersex issues are the same.

Completing this training module made me reconsider my views on the modern attitude towards diverse people in our society and the way we move forward to understand them .
Important to be implemented at work and in everyday life.
