The course was very good

It was clear and presented well.

5/5
To the point, well sectioned

I like to be able to read as well as listen so the transcript is useful. It is a little long - would have preferred it to have been 35-40minutes as seems more manageable and not such a huge task to find the time to tick off.

Legally inaccurate ideological nonsense.

Sex is observed at birth, not assigned. There is no such thing as a 'gender identity'. Nobody fits neatly into a male or female box and to suggest otherwise is extremely sexist, primarily misogynist as it has a greater effect on women. All people born with DSDs are either male or female, these conditions affect less than 0.2% of the population, many of whom don't even know. The trans umbrella is another nonsense term, originally trans meant only transexuals, i.e., those who have legal protection through the protected characteristic of gender reassignment, although they remain biologically male or female. Intersex is not trans; everybody on the planet is non-binary for the reasons I've already stated, and likewise people who are gender-fluid are still male or female, how they feel or dress on a day-to-day basis is irrelevant. Everyone can dress how they want; it doesn't change their sex. When someone transitions socially, they are choosing to live how they perceive the opposite sex do, and when they transition physically how they perceive the opposite sex looks. In most cases this view is extremely narrow and completely at odds to the supposed nature of non-binary and gender-fluid 'identities'. Less than 6000 people have obtained a Gender Recognition Certificate since 2005, these transsexuals are the only people protected by EA for their gender reassignment. The law uses the terms 'men' and 'women' because there are only two sexes, this is an immutable characteristic of our sexually dimorphic species. The Incorrect use of pronouns is not harmful, to suggest otherwise is stupid. People might take offense if someone uses incorrect pronouns, but as it does not fall under a protected characteristic, can this legally be harassment? It might not be nice, but I have never directly addressed anybody by a pronoun and can't foresee any conversation where I would need to. I take offense at anybody's attempts to compel me to speak or even think in a certain way, so by your measure I would find someone telling me their pronouns and the content of this course offensive and having to sit through this course a form of harassment. Why is there a whole section dedicated to 'Gender Identity'. This isn't one of the nine protected characteristics and so does not fall under discrimination under the Equalities Act 2010. I am going to ASSUME you have written this course after consulting Stonewall or their guidance, however this has been written with a view as how THEY would like the law to be, not how it is. Every workplace should try and make all its employees welcome; encouraging companies to override the exceptions allowed under single sex provision, in such areas as toilets and changing facilities fails in this completely. I will not partake in your training course again until I have been informed it reflects the law as opposed to this inaccurate rubbish. Whilst the nonsense you are peddling has no legal basis, my views do as per the ruling in the Forstater vs CGDE, they are worthy of respect in a democratic society.
