one to take on board

in a day to day situation you could indirectly upset or insult someone without knowing this course really makes you think to take a step back and before you say or do something make sure it won't upset or insult someone. good course.

Needs to be more Education-focused

This is a fairly reasonable course. The presnters are good and presentation is interesting. However, it is very generic and lacks depth. Very light on tackling racism and doesn't come across as a serious issue. Some info is also erroneous,eg. if you need time off for religious prayers, you are entitled to this. I think that they should be clearer in that area and say that you can ask your employer but the EA2010 states that there is no legal requirement for employees to be given time off for prayers. There is nothing to link it to the education sector and how students are treated. This is just staff 2 staff training. This training is a much-needed start and I appreciate that it has been provided for staff.
