very informative and easy to understand

Mostly good.

Thought the term 'gender reassignment' was a tad outdated. Genders are not assigned to people, your biological sex is.Also, towards the end of the trans section where misgendering was discussed, the speaker misgendered their subject. "'Using the wrong pronouns with a non-binary person can cause her an offence'."

I found this course hard going

I don't think that we all need to know all the technical terms for all these discriminatory behaviours. Most peple have a good idea of what's right or not.

Jargonistic buzzword bingo

Confusing, contradictory and surpresses individualism. Effectively overrules a person's own beliefs and values for fear of causing a perceived offence. Orwellian 1984.

Gender dictatorship

I don't agree with being told by a person what pronouns to use. Pronouns are are basis of English understanding. Calling a single person they/them goes against English teachings. A male's pronouns are he/him and a female's pronouns are she/her. This was decided on by educators in English, not by individual people. However if trans people now have a right to decide on their pronouns then so should every normal male and female. This would be more on keeping with this training. Of course in allowing this, as we are allowing the trans community to do would open up a flood gate of craziness bigger than the craziness we are being told that we have to use an individuals pronouns, which varies from trans person to trans person. They/them does not reflect a person's gender identity. They/they refers to more than 1 person. To go along with individual's pronouns dumbs down society and makes a mockery of the English language.
