By giving stats to back up claims certainly supports claims of environmental damage and by highlighting how little each person needs to do to make an impact can carry a lot of weight.
Informative.
Your courses are well structured and well presented. However this module completely misrepresents the "butterfly effect" concept. The butterfly effect refers to a very small change being amplified within a system to have a very large impact. However the course uses the term to mean merely "everything is connected" or "many small changes add up to a large change", which is the opposite of what the term means. Using terminology incorrectly like this spreads misinformation and risks undermining the very good message of the course. Also, reducing paper usage does not necessarily "save trees" as most UK virgin paper comes from trees which are specifically planted for the purpose and sustainably replenished. There are other good environmental reasons to reduce paper use, but it's not as though natural forests are disappearing to provide paper supplies. Again, this sort of inaccuracy risks undermining the course.
