Slow and cumbersome but informative

I'm not sure if this was related to my opening this within a remote server connection or not, but the application had to re-establish a secure connection between every page, which took between 5-15 seconds each time (maybe longer on some occasions). This meant it took a long time to complete (I didn't time it so can't say how long).
