An unhelpful waste of time

The training used outdated methods of assessing safe following distance. The test emphasizes memorization of statistics rather than driving safety. Many techniques of defensive and safe driving, the Dutch reach as just one example, are not covered.

Box ticking exercise

I have been driving for nearly 50 years both private and company cars. This is possibly some good to drivers who are on the road for long periods of time in company cars. I do approx. 3 hrs driving for the Hospice a week and found it was fairly irrelevant for the work that I do. A box ticking exercise as far as I am concerned.

Really good informative course.

Really good course clearly putting the point across about road safety.

Good, interesting and helpful

Despite slightly cheesy graphics, the information was well presented in bite-size chunks that helped me retain the information

Hard to navigate. Facts not relevant.

Most video players use the forward and back arrows to skip forward and back a few seconds in the video. On your presentations, the back arrow skips back an entire section. This made it very difficult to replay sections in the video if I missed something. When I made this mistake (repeatedly!), I had to watch the previous video in its entirety as there is no option to skip forward, even when you have previously completed a video. This was really frustrating. Some of the questions required memorising pointless statistics that added nothing to the learning experience. Memorising the exact number of people killed in a particular circumstance on the road is not relevant when driving, but was necessary to answer questions correctly in the test. I will never need those statistics again. I do need to know whether something is a significant issue or not, so I can apply appropriate caution, but needing to meorise the exact statistic is not helpful or relevant. Some of the summary slides at the end of videos contained information not stated in the dialogue. Some of that information appeared as questions in the test. This was confusing. If the summary is actually additional information, rather than a recap, it should be made clear at the start. It would also be helpful to have links to the extra videos at the end of the presentation (the ones that appear as options on the screen to the right of some of the videos). I didn't have time to review them during the presentation and navigating back through the videos is difficult as described above. It would be helpful to list them all at the end for 'further reading'.
