very helpful

The course gave a clear short overview of the process of appraisal. I think that this information covered the key things needed and along with an organisations own procedures would be enough to enable a person/persons to set up or take part in appraisals effectively. I think the concise nature of the course is helpful with time constraints faced by employers/employees.

Clear delivery of important information

A good coverage of key factors for conducting appraisals, a summary covering a large amount of information which was fairly straightforward to digest.

ok as a refresher

The content is 'ok' as a refresher to a fairly confident manager . I'm not sure it really supports new managers conducting an appraisal for the first time . But some good tips to remember- preparation, 50/50 discussion, opportunity to value the employee , don't discuss salary , max 3 KPIs

INFORMATIVE

I found this really interesting and informative.

very dated.

The content is not too bad. Would move away from the word 'appraisal' and use performance & development review instead as that is more uptodate. It could do with some video talks rather than just all being text to read. Test was ok at the end.

A fun training course.

Interesting training course because you have to read the information as opposed to being told by a trainer. This helps the trainee to show that they have understood the instruction, I found this very refreshing.

So interesting

A staff appraisal is a management tool to help support employees in their professional development. Focusing around an appraisal meeting, this is management's chance to determine how an employee is coping and what they might need to be better at their job in a more precise and actionable way.
