asbestos is the biggest cause of work related death. asbestos is an natural occurring mineral that crystallised to form long thin fibre and curved fibre bundles. the great risk comes when a large amount of these tiny fibres are released into the air and inhaled, and young people are at greater risk of developing asbestosis than old workers because the asbestos can take 15 to 60 years to discover the disease.

i appreciate the information however I have never been supplied with personal protection equipment on nay job site, anything I have I have purchased myself.

Have done Asbestos Awareness training before but found this particular course interesting.

I have learnt a great deal from this short training programme, I did not realise there were so many different types of asbestos, and how much it was used pre 1999, all I knew was it was dangerous, yes very good insight

A good course but I don't think the test should include questions about the number of deaths from the related disease.

Very informative, well paced and the process was easy to undertake with the flexibility of completing the course in a convenient time slot to fit in with the working day. The questions were credible and challenged the course content. Highly recommended.

Learned somethings about Asbestos which I did not know.
