Recognising Your Value Training
From time to time, we all struggle to recognise the value we have to offer – either at work, at home, to society, or all three. However, no matter how big or small a contribution you have to make, we all make a difference. By focussing on the Japanese philosophy of Ikigai, this bitesize (10-minute) Recognising Your Value online course will help you recognise your own value and the many important things you have to contribute.

About this course
There are a number of ways that you can recognise your own value and the benefits that this can bring in both your personal life and at work. You might identify your value through your relationships, your happiness, your purpose or many other things.
This Personal Development course will look into the Japanese philosophy of Ikigai. There is no direct English translation, but it’s a term that embodies the idea of happiness in living, or your reason for getting up in the morning. It is composed of two words: iki, meaning life, and gai, describing value or worth. Westernised cultures have interpreted this philosophy into the Ikigai Venn diagram comprising of; what you love, what the world needs, what you can be paid for and what you are good at.
This training is suitable for all levels of employees. Employers, managers, supervisors, and employees alike should be aware of their value and in turn, it could create a more supportive workplace culture.

Learnt a lot about Ikigai
I had never heard of Ikigai before but felt the practical tips will be very useful.
Not what I'd hoped for
I thought this would be a great wellbeing course, to boost users' confidence and remind them of their importance in the world, but it was more of a 'How to live a happier life' session. The session itself was good, but I don't see too much relevance to the title and thing this could be misleading for others too.
well presented
I'd never heard of Ikigai before but hope I can use it going forward.
good course
interesting hope i can make changes
Yes really good point
Good course
Introduction to self discovery
I had never heard of IKIGAI before. Now explained, it looks like a valuable tool to improve wellbeing, self-esteem and self-worth. Excellent presentation on the structure and then the actions to potentially change your life and / or your personal effectiveness.
Clear, helpful and interesting
I really enjoyed the simple way this course was structured and the useful links to further reading.
Great content in this short course
Great content. I enjoyed taking this course. It was very informative, and I enjoyed the slightly offbeat sense of humour used to get the points across. I would take more of iHasgo training, both in and out of my work. Couldnt really fault anything in particular. Thanks.
