How YOU helped us raise £759 for MCS during our Wellbeing Week!

Posted 5 years ago

You might have noticed that on the week of World Mental Health Day, iHasco took part in a Wellbeing Week!

As part of our wellbeing week, we asked you – our lovely clients – to complete as many of our Mental Health & Wellbeing Courses as possible and for each course completed we would donate 25p to our partnered charity – MCS!

We are so excited to announce that we have raised a grand total of… £759!

How amazing is that?! That means that we had over 3000 courses completed!

Sam & James on the Wellbeing Week

Wellbeing Week

It’s never too late to do your own Wellbeing Week at your workplace! If you need some inspiration here’s what we did:

Monday: Stress Balls for all – helping to reduce stress at work

Tuesday: Steps Challenge – who can do the most steps in a day (look after physical wellbeing)

Wednesday: Midweek meditation & a visit from Sam the dog for some pet therapy hugs!

Thursday: Healthy Team lunch (We had a brunch!)

Friday: I am grateful for challenge – everyone wrote down 3 things they were grateful for on a piece of card and keeps it in their desk for a day when they need a gentle reminder 🙂

Some other ideas that we didn’t get to do but you could include:

  • Yoga sessions
  • Massages at desks
  • Smoothie van or healthy food alternative (team lunch)
  • Art activity – reducing stress activity
  • Happy hour – team building! Everyone goes for a drink together after work!
  • Get a comedian to come into your work – the power of laughter!
  • Have an employee of the week
  • Bring your dog to work – (pet therapy day)
  • Quote of the day on whiteboards all around the office
  • Mental health quiz for half an hour at lunch

MCS

With your £759 now added to our donation page, we have reached 77% of our charity target! We are constantly doing things to donate to this charity, so keep your eyes peeled on social media for any activities we will be doing before April!

Mental Health Training

It’s also never too late to offer your staff Mental Health Awareness Training! There is never a ‘perfect’ time to train them, so why not get started today?! Our Mental Health Training covers an introduction to mental health and its triggers, different mental health problems, our wellbeing toolkit and a hub for external mental health management.

We also offer courses specifically aimed at those working in Care, Education and Construction.
