We’re in the midst of a remote working revolution. With increases in workplace rent, travel costs, and improvements in technology which make remote communication and collaboration much easier, businesses and workers alike are rethinking the traditional working model.
But this alone is not the sole motivator behind the revolution. As of 2020, millennials (people born anywhere between 1980 and 2000) make up just under half of the total workforce, by 2025, they’ll account for around 75% of the workforce. Crucially, the vast majority of millennials don’t seem to like the traditional workplace model. In a recent poll, 69% of millennials reported that they’d choose flexible hours and remote working over other workplace benefits.
As a manager, it’s your responsibility to enable your team to work to the best of their ability; wherever they may be. This whitepaper begins by exploring what it means to be a manager and then goes on to explore what you can do to help your remote workers flourish.
You’ll be guided through the key things management teams need to consider when managing a remote team. Including:
- What it means to be a manager
- How to build structure and trust in your team
- Removing obstacles
- Adjusting expectations
- The importance of prioritising communication
- How we can help you
- And some additional resources your organisation may find useful.
