iHASCO Management Team become i-act Accredited

In our ongoing commitment to promote positive workplace mental health and wellbeing, we’re pleased to announce that the iHASCO Management Team are now i-act Accredited!

iHASCO Managers complete the i-act course!

What is i-act and what does this mean?

i-act are the UK’s leading evidence-based and accredited mental health and wellbeing programme for understanding and managing mental health and wellbeing in the workplace.

On Thursday the 21st of January, iHASCO managers attended an online i-act training course for managers and became accredited after a day-long training programme.

What does it mean to be i-act accredited?

The i-act course for managers aims to:

  • Give managers a greater understanding of mental health and wellbeing issues and recognise when colleagues may need help and support
  • Provide practical tools for promoting positive wellbeing in the workplace
  • Help build resilience for managers and for colleagues
  • Offer guidance and advice for how managers may connect with colleagues who may be experiencing mental ill-health

Overall, the course aims to better equip managers with the knowledge and confidence needed to help someone experiencing a mental health or wellbeing issue. The course is also accredited by The Royal College of Psychiatrists.

“With 3 mental health first aiders, an i-act accredited management team and a host of mental health resources including our fantastic eLearning courses, we’re taking some really positive steps in creating a workplace where people can come forward and speak to someone about their wellbeing, without judgement and in total confidence. We understand just how important the wellbeing of our people is to the success of our business and we hope other organisations continue to recognise this throughout 2021 and beyond!”

Nathan Pitman, Managing Director at iHASCO

We’d like to send a special thanks to our i-act trainer, Anne-Marie, who was professional, warm and incredibly knowledgeable! We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her and i-act to anyone.
