Find out more about Paul Watts
When did you join iHasco?
I started on 21 September 2022 after working in marketing roles in a variety of sectors including education, construction, and healthcare.
What do you do there?
I am responsible for promoting iHasco products and services, creating awareness of new and existing courses, and supporting clients’ understanding of how our range of courses can meet specific needs and requirements within their organisations.
What did you want to do when you were at school?
Apart from the standard ‘Roy of the Rovers’ dream of being a footballer, I wanted to do something in the media and studied this at University before focusing on a career in marketing and communications.
What do you get up to when you’re not at iHasco?
Being a dad of two takes up the bulk of my time, so our time as a family is really important – this is usually days out to the seaside with our Lab (Baxter – the Head of Barketing), visits to National Trust properties or seeing other family and friends.
Where in the world would you most like to go?
I’d love to go back to the Maldives – I was fortunate to go here back in 2009, but at that time was awaiting a knee operation (football injury!) so wasn’t able to swim or explore as much as I would have wished for.
What’s your favourite food?
Chilli Con Carne is my go-to when cooking for myself, and the spicier the better! I love trying food from all over the world, with Greek, Chinese and Indian cuisines amongst my favourites.
Tell us something we don’t know about you…
I’m very clumsy and have broken 11 bones… The aforementioned knee injury was also the result of a twist where no-one else came into contact with me! My advice; don’t stand too close to me when I’m in the office!
Favourite book or movie?
My favourite book is ‘Red Dragon’ by Thomas Harris, the prequel to Silence of the Lambs. I also love Stephen King’s books with ‘Misery’, ‘Under the Dome’ and ‘The Institute’ all highly recommended. Most recently I really enjoyed ‘Wrong Place, Wrong Time’.
