Good but not enough quiz

The video instructions were clear, concise and best of all; short! Long training videos are the worst so I really appreciated this format. But the quiz felt lacklustre compared to content covered in the video. I would have liked a quiz of 20 questions rather than 10 (still including the questions in between some of the videos too).

It was very thorough and easy to watch

I would give it Zero if it was an option

I must say I feel well and truly patronised after carrying out this training, it’s a wonder we all manage to survive life without doing this course! Learning useful facts like; Heat rises, Electricity can kill you and closing the blinds will help stop light coming in through the window. The videos look more like something off an episode of ‘The Office’! It also had a number of errors, for example standing for long periods of time does not give one varicose veins, just as sitting, in and of itself, does not cause raised cholesterol and other metabolic problems.

Easy use, good AV – accessibility and diversity of learner considered

Great to have training specifically for homeworking

This training considers all aspects of homeworking from having a designated work space to safety at home. It uses common sense approach to create good common practice. I've spent many years working from home and thought that I had considered everything but still learnt a lot. It's great to finally have training specifically for the needs of remote/hybrid working.

Repetitive, time-wasting, and poorly structured

The EHS training modules were extremely disappointing due to the excessive and unnecessary repetition across different modules. Despite spending nearly seven hours completing them, I found that around 50% of the content was duplicated in each module, making the experience feel redundant and frustrating. Rather than providing a streamlined and engaging learning journey, the modules were bloated with overlapping material, leading to wasted time and a lack of new insights. The structure clearly lacks efficiency and consideration for the learner’s time.

Why is this training important?

Compliance

It’s important that you comply with the law and know the ways in which it affects you and the way you work.

The Health and Safety at Work Act 1974

Although homeworkers do not travel to a fixed place of work, The Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 must be applied to homeworkers to ensure their safety.

The Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations

The Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations or MHSWR requires employers to carry out risk assessments of a homeworkers environment, this should identify any risks and allow the employer to control them.
